Hey did you miss me last week? I’m back, and this time I’m sharing with you my favorite drugstore hair products, because now that I’m a mom I’m too cheap to buy salon products (okay that happened before I was a mom).
and - So once upon a time there was girl named Krista who loved but couldn’t justify spending like 30 for a small bottle of shampoo. Then she saw a commercial for this stuff and hasn’t looked back since. (I actually like all of the Ever___ lines but this one has been out the longest, and it’s great for all hair). Sulfates are bad for your hair!
- seriously, the best deep conditioner I have ever used. Salon or otherwise. And you really can’t beat the price, another plus is that it smells amazing.
- So is your hair looking dull and lusterless? But you don’t want to color it? Or maybe your hair is like mine and chronically dry. This stuff is magic. Adds a ton of shine and it lasts a while. Its like you have new hair.
A former addict, I found this, at Walmart and haven’t shelled out the $35 for the “name brand” since. This stuff is great for straightening your hair. It helps it to stay shiny and smooth. But don’t be a fool like me and use too much because you will end up with greasy looking hair. blech.
Have I mentioned that I have curly hair? Well I do. And I hate crunchy curls (think Leah from Teen Mom 2 circa her 16 and pregnant episode/beginning of Teen Mom 2 season 1). But creams don’t give the hold I need, and obviously gels give crunch. I like mousse but in the summer it doesn’t do much. What’s a girl to do? Go to your drugstore and buy . It also makes my curls way cuter.
Do you have fine hair that needs a lift but you don’t want to spend big bucks? is a light weight mousse that also protects your hair from heat! So you can blowdry some volume into your hair and it won’t fall flat!
Speaking of protecting from heat, and Tresemme, they also make a great , I seriously love this stuff. I use it when I blowdry, when I diffuse, when I use a curling iron. Any time my hair needs to be heat-styled I’m all about this stuff. I’ve been using it forever and no complaints yet.
Now that your hair is all styled, it’s time to finish, with . I used to love but the price and the resemblance to a penis made me turn to this. I can’t really tell a difference, except BedHead is a little bit creamier (that’s what she said).
So now you have all my hair secrets, next week make up secrets.
These are GREAT suggestions. I am going to put them all on my list and try them one-by-one! When you have curly hair, you tend to get obsessed with products, so these are great ways to keep my habit from breaking the bank. Thanks for sharing all your secret weapons!! BTW, my go-to hair cream is Curls Rock by TIGI Bed Head. LOVE it!
